We had our annual Field Day with our homeschool group back in April. It was a BLAST!!! After many, many days of heavy rain, we weren't even sure if we were going to be able to have it...but thankfully the rain held off for a few hours and we had a very fun, but muddy, field day. All of the kids had extra energy stored up from being cooped up during the monsoon days, so they were all excited about participating. This year, we had some fantastic parents coordinate field day who had sound equipment connections and they brought an extra funny element with their d.j. antics and peppy music. The kids played tug o' war, giant ball soccer, 4-way tire body tug of war, ball between knees relay, egg relay and wet sponge relay. Then, it all ended in a huge water fight and then yummy pizza and cookies! Trent and I had an absolute blast watching the kids have so much fun...and we got a little muddy ourselves.
