Christmas Day is always a little anti-climatic for me. There is so much build-up and anticipation and then the day is here and over. But, it was still a very fun and special day! The kids each got a big thing they requested from Santa. And, mom and dad gave them some pretty cool stuff too. They also opened presents from each other that they had purchased weeks ago at 5Below.

Trent got a Razor Scooter, Brad got the new Skylanders game for Wii and Rachel got an American Girl doll bed for Susie Jane. The kids had lots of fun playing with their new toys from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! In fact, even today (January 8th) we are still trying out and opening presents that were received. It's just hard to appreciate how cool they all are in just 2 days!

We are so thankful for grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and parents for MANY, MANY thoughtful and fun presents! We will be playing for many months with each of the new things we all received.

Merry Christmas to all!!

Christmas Eve 2013 #3: Cookies for Santa!

Cookies and milk for Santa!

our Tree!

Our final Christmas Eve tradition is leaving out cookies and milk for Santa. Each kid chose a cookie (2 sugar and 1 chocolate chip) for Santa, as well as some chocolate milk. They love leaving this on the fireplace and then seeing how much he was able to eat when they get up on Christmas morning. Sometimes Santa just takes a bite of each cookie and drinks half of his milk. Guess it depends how full he is from all the other houses he visits on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve 2013 #2: Gege and Papa's

Ready to open!

Can't wait to see what's in the big box!!

what a pretty package!

Our next stop was at Gege's house for celebration #2! The kiddos were the center of attention over here as the only 3 kids. They couldn't wait to open presents and play with their new Nintendo 2DS that they each received from G&P. We had even more yummy food over here, more fun chatting with family and opening presents. It was a very fun and very busy day...but we had to hurry home to put out some goodies for Santa!

Christmas Eve 2013 #1: Nana & Pop's

Some crazy grandkids with Nana and Pop!

best buds: Alex & Trent

Best Friends: Rachel and Julia

Best Buds: Thomas and Brad

Christmas Eve was a fun and busy day! We started out with lunch at Nana's house with all 9 cousins under the age of 9 and 8 crazy adults. We had yummy steak fingers and chicken fingers with twice baked potatoes and all kinds of other goodies. There was plenty of eating, playing present opening and just fun family time! We had to leave earlier than the rest of the cousins because we were going to Christmas Eve celebration #2...
