36 and thankful (written 2/18/13)

Today is my 36th birthday and I don't feel 36! Mentally, I have myself frozen in my 20's. I feel young and I am glad. It's hard to wrap my brain around the fact that I'm closer to 40 than I've ever been! :) But, oh, the many blessings I have experienced in my 36 years of life. I am so incredibly thankful for my family, friends, health, home, happiness, and especially for my salvation. Without Jesus I would be nothing.

So, as for how special I feel and how much celebrating took place in honor of my birthday...
I was taken out to my favorite restaurant (Brett's) by my wonderful in-laws and precious family. Then, my precious parents cooked me and my family a delicious italian meal, and finally, my thoughtful husband brought home dinner for me on my birthday so I wouldn't have to cook or clean up. That's 3 super sweet celebrations and mixed in were presents, texts, phone calls and warm sentiments. I feel loved, appreciated, celebrated and blessed. I love my family. Here's to many more celebrations!
