Rays first game

Trent had a great first game with the Rays. He is adorable out on that field with some boys who are much bigger than he is. He loves playing and seems to be quite a little natural! He is very comfortable out there now...quite a change from his very first practice!

Yankees first game

Brad had a great first game and he really seemed to have fun playing baseball! His confidence is much higher than it was last year and he is a natural on the field! He's a darn cute little Yankee!

Happy Birthday Googs!

Our Trenty is 4 years old today!! That's a hard thing to wrap my brain around. My baby is now a big boy! We had so much fun celebrating today! We started with a yummy chocolate chip muffin, 1 present (because we could NOT wait all day for daddy to get home to open them), lunch with daddy at Johnny's Pizza and a special visit to his work and then cupcakes! As soon as daddy got home from work, Trent opened his other presents and has been having a blast playing with his new stuff. Rach and Brad each got him a goldfish (since his old fish, R2D2/Trooper died a few months ago). His new fish are named: Orangey and Bitey. Ironically, according to Trent, the orange fish is named Bitey and the silver-colored one is named Orangey. Makes perfect sense! ;) He also got 4 new Lego City sets a couple of weeks ago in the mail from Aunt Linda and Uncle Paul. He loves those sets and has loved playing with them! We can't wait to celebrate with grandparents and cousins on Easter at Gege and Papa's and have a really fun egg hunt too!

Baseball season is here!

In between batting practice, Brad is discussing...(baseball, nah!), favorite Star Wars characters!
Brad's ready to catch a ball
Trent's ready for a ground ball
Trent runs toward a ground ball
The boys are both playing baseball. Trent is playing t-ball for the Tampa Bay Rays and Brad is playing coach pitch for the New York Yankees. Rach is taking a break from softball for this season. Both boys are having a really good time! Brad's confidence has increased each year and he says ball practice is "kinda fun!" He hits really hard and runs really fast. Trent is the youngest player out there, (at 3!), but can definitely hit well and run really fast. He was a little unsure at his first practice, but he's gotten more and more confident at each practice. His favorite thing is to run the bases at the end of practice.

Both boys look adorable out there and we're glad they're having fun! Their first games are tonight...back to back and at different fields. :) Play Ball!

We've got spring fever!

Nick and Trent stop to tinker with their temperamental machines.
Like father, like son. Hard working Milligans.

We're officiall ready for spring! We wish we had gotten some snow, but oh well. Now we're over it! Bring on the spring temps and let's plant our garden. Nick and Trent have already been working on the garden. And, Nick and both boys built the boxes for the garden. We thought we would try raised beds for tomatoes and several kinds of peppers. Can't wait for that garden goodness...now to just learn how to can and freeze everything so we can enjoy it all year long!
