Baseball season is off to an awesome start! Trent is #5 on the Dodgers. He is so excited to be playing again and loves that this year they keep score and you can slide home! The Dodgers lost their first game 4-2, but Trent was 3 for 4 with 3 awesome hits!! We can't wait to see how the Dodgers learn and grow this year!

**Brad is not in any pictures because he chose not to be in them. **

We are the Comets!!

Rachel started her 4th year of basketball and this year she is on the Comets!!!
Go #23!!

The Comets are a pretty varied range of abilities and so far, they haven't won a game. But, #23 is playing great and really knows her way around the court. She has even scored 2 points in a game!
Let's Go Comets!!!

Game Ball #1 & 2!!

Woohoo! Trent got his first game ball!!!

what does yours say???

Both boys with their special, earned game balls!

Both boys have played so hard and so well this year! Both earned a game ball for their efforts! Bradley even got a second game ball for an awesome hit! It was kinda cool that the day when Trent got his first game ball, Bradley received his second game ball, so we were able to take this adorable picture. This has been our most exciting season of baseball yet! Go Braves and Dodgers!!!

Bradley has had a great time with some wonderful coaches on the Dodgers this year. He has really shown his skills and has a perfect swing and fantastic concentration when on the field. Brad is the best player on the team and has such a great attitude about playing. He seems to really love baseball and is following in his daddy's footsteps!! Way to go #13!!! Bravo Braves!!

Ready for the ball!

Got it!!

waiting patiently for his name to be called

the golden glove trophy: for his game ball!!

The Best Coaches: The Barnes men

Trent had a fantastic season of t-ball with some wonderfully patient coaches! They were all incredibly kind and had nice attitudes and really put up with a wide variety of baseball skill-levels. Trent had a wonderful time and really showed his skills! He was such a good defensive player as well as a powerful hitter. He even hit a few kids on the opposing teams with his strong hits. It was a great experience for Trent and left him wanting to play more and more. Way to go #4!!! The Braves were awesome!!!

Mr. T plays ball!

this kid is always ready to get a ball! Look at that form!

too cute out there!

Swing!!

Another ball in the glove!

T-Ball is very entertaining to watch! There are some kids who could care less about playing ball...they're usually sitting on the ground, moving around and not facing the action, or pouting and acting like a brat. Then there are some kids who truly enjoy playing the game. Trent is one of those who LOVES to play ball! He's always ready, always energetic and always moving towards the ball. We're having so much fun watching our baby boy play ball this year! Go Braves! Go #4!!

Go Dodgers!!

Ready to play ball!!

Game ball!!

Brad is playing his 4th season of ball and loving it! He's playing for the Dodgers (for the 2nd time!) and he likes them! He has a really knowledgeable coach this year and he is definitely learning a lot! Our sweet boy played extra hard in his first game. He was so focused on what was going on in the game. He was ready for any balls hit into the outfield, and he was awesome at the plate. He had a good eye for balls and strikes and got an awesome RBI at his 2nd at bat. His first time up, he was hit by a ball in the groin. (OUCH!!!!) I was so proud and amazed that he was able to stay in the game and have another ball pitched to him. He then didn't swing at a ball and then got hit in the helmet by a ball. Poor boy earned the right to get on first!! Daddy told him there's more than one way to get on base! His team ended up losing 6-3, but they all played really well! Bradley even earned the game ball for his hard work and (literally) taking one for the team attitude. We're so proud of this precious boy! Go Dodgers!!!

Go Braves!!

pre-game handsomeness

look at that stance!
why didn't I get the game ball???!!!

Trent began his 2nd year of t-ball and he is by far the best one on the team. He's playing for the Braves, which he thinks is really cool. He has a strong throw, a powerful swing and he is really determined to catch every ground ball. He's also getting pretty good at catching fly balls. Trent is definitely the most serious boy on the team...he's not there to socialize or make friends. He's just there to play ball. He played great in his first game, hitting off the tee and running really fast to each base. He played at 3rd base for awhile, which was pretty boring since there weren't any balls hit in that direction. He also got to play in the pitcher's circle and he loved that position since that was where all the action was. The game was very entertaining to watch and there were quite a few kids who couldn't care less about playing tball. The only thing disappointing to Trent was that he didn't get the game ball. Trent's coaches are extremely patient and kind also. We're looking forward to a great season!! Go Braves!!!!

Baseball Season is HERE!!

the cutest brothers ever!

tough guys!!

The boys baseball season started this weekend and it was a GREAT start! We switched counties this year from Oconee to Walton and have been very pleased with our home county. The differences in the 2 counties are quite astounding, but nothing that's negative, just 2 different types of people! :)

Go Dream!!

Our sweet girl played basketball for the 3rd season and she LOVED it!! She really learned a lot this year and we saw her play more aggressively and actually understand the different positions she played on the court. The Dream team didn't have too many wins, but the girls played hard and the coaches were super nice! It was a fantastic experience for Rachel and she still claims Basketball is her favorite sport!!! Way to go #11!!!
