Best Friends Forever!

Somehow, our precious baby boy is 5 today! The time has gone quickly, and it has been filled with so many precious moments and pure joy of having our sweet son in our lives. Our Trenty likes to do just about anything...from playing sports, to riding bikes, to swinging, to wrestling, to helping his daddy, to playing with his best canine friend, Buddy, to playing with his favorite cousin Alex, to hanging with his cool brother Bradley, to playing games with his sweet sister Rachel. There's just nothing that our Trent won't try and we've yet to see him try something and not do it well. We can't wait to see where Trent uses his intense and determined personality to take him in life. We have no doubt God will use him in great ways. We love our sweet child so much and couldn't imagine our lives without him.

Happy 5th  Birthday to our precious son, Trent Nicholas Milligan!
We love you sweet boy!!

Lego Mania

One of Brad's creations!

Master Builder

a few of the sets on his shelf

We have a bit of Lego Mania over here. Bradley is obsessed with legos! He can think of very little else that he wants to buy, get, build, see, etc...It is a fun hobby that brings hours of entertainment, promotes creative thinking and helps hone those building skills. So, although we sometimes get tired of hearing about the next Lego set that Brad wants or talking about which ones are his favorites/least favorites, this is a pretty fun preoccupation for him to have. :) Kudos to whoever created Legos!!

Go Dodgers!!

Ready to play ball!!

Game ball!!

Brad is playing his 4th season of ball and loving it! He's playing for the Dodgers (for the 2nd time!) and he likes them! He has a really knowledgeable coach this year and he is definitely learning a lot! Our sweet boy played extra hard in his first game. He was so focused on what was going on in the game. He was ready for any balls hit into the outfield, and he was awesome at the plate. He had a good eye for balls and strikes and got an awesome RBI at his 2nd at bat. His first time up, he was hit by a ball in the groin. (OUCH!!!!) I was so proud and amazed that he was able to stay in the game and have another ball pitched to him. He then didn't swing at a ball and then got hit in the helmet by a ball. Poor boy earned the right to get on first!! Daddy told him there's more than one way to get on base! His team ended up losing 6-3, but they all played really well! Bradley even earned the game ball for his hard work and (literally) taking one for the team attitude. We're so proud of this precious boy! Go Dodgers!!!

Go Braves!!

pre-game handsomeness

look at that stance!
why didn't I get the game ball???!!!

Trent began his 2nd year of t-ball and he is by far the best one on the team. He's playing for the Braves, which he thinks is really cool. He has a strong throw, a powerful swing and he is really determined to catch every ground ball. He's also getting pretty good at catching fly balls. Trent is definitely the most serious boy on the team...he's not there to socialize or make friends. He's just there to play ball. He played great in his first game, hitting off the tee and running really fast to each base. He played at 3rd base for awhile, which was pretty boring since there weren't any balls hit in that direction. He also got to play in the pitcher's circle and he loved that position since that was where all the action was. The game was very entertaining to watch and there were quite a few kids who couldn't care less about playing tball. The only thing disappointing to Trent was that he didn't get the game ball. Trent's coaches are extremely patient and kind also. We're looking forward to a great season!! Go Braves!!!!

Baseball Season is HERE!!

the cutest brothers ever!

tough guys!!

The boys baseball season started this weekend and it was a GREAT start! We switched counties this year from Oconee to Walton and have been very pleased with our home county. The differences in the 2 counties are quite astounding, but nothing that's negative, just 2 different types of people! :)

Skating their hearts out!

My cute little skaters!

Once a month our local skating rink hosts a homeschool skate day. In February, they made it a combined Valentine's party and kids brought decorated valentines boxes to be filled with valentines. It was very fun and the kids got more valentines and candy than ever before!

Rachel is quite the little skater, with her own pair of skates and her "skating outfit" that she picked out just for the occasion. Brad and Trent are learning to skate and falling down a lot, but they both hang in there for quite awhile! It's definitely a fun thing to do once a month! :)

Go Dream!!

Our sweet girl played basketball for the 3rd season and she LOVED it!! She really learned a lot this year and we saw her play more aggressively and actually understand the different positions she played on the court. The Dream team didn't have too many wins, but the girls played hard and the coaches were super nice! It was a fantastic experience for Rachel and she still claims Basketball is her favorite sport!!! Way to go #11!!!
