Double Digits! We didn't know it was going to go so fast! 10 years have gone by and it has been such an honor and privilege getting to be the parents of such an incredibly sweet child! We are so thankful for our beautiful only daughter, our firstborn, our kind-hearted, thoughtful, creative, athletic, talented, compassionate, loving sweetheart. We had so much fun celebrating her this weekend!
Birthday festivities started with a bowling party with a few friends (and a few crazy brothers) at the Galaxy bowling party. Everything was glow in the dark and the lanes were lit with special lights, so the kids thought that was extra cool. Then Julia spent the night with Rachel and got to spend the next day at the ballpark for 4 hours while we cheered on Brad and Trent.
Rach began receiving birthday presents over a week ago, with a package from California which held Rachel's beloved new quilt, then she got some great things from her friends, some art supplies, jewelry, books, etc...from her grandparents and uncle and then a new scooter, some DS games, a lego set and a few other things. This girl is set for awhile and can't wait to enjoy each of the thoughtful presents she received!
Today was Rachel's actual birthday and she got to open family presents today, specially picked things from her adoring brothers and had her request of meals at breakfast and lunch (biscuits and muffins then Sonny's BBQ). We ended the day by (finally) watching the movie, Frozen, as a family. We all loved it, although Brad said there were way too many songs.
We love our precious Rachel Jane and thank God for what a blessing she is to us!
